In my regional dialect we call those worms something that would translate to “furry cats”, which I have always found quite weird… in my language their name refer to their walking in long lines one after the other like it was a ceremonial procession.

These things are so cool They have their own festival! It’s kind of like the groundhog festival where Punxsutawney Phil predicts the upcoming weather, except they pick a wooly worm each year to make the prediction. It’s all Tongue in cheek obviously, and an excuse to have a party.
