Was relocating a $10k piece of networking hardware and dropped it into another 10k VM server. Server was fine, network hardware was not. It was during a project that was a real mess, thought it was a stupid mistake though.
We were able to work around it, though we did lose the contract we were trying to make. Honestly though given how rushed and panicked that whole three months was though, we were lucky nobody suffered anything worse. Real shitshow.
I’m still running windows for now, but even then Vulkan has de-fucked a few games for me. Given the option, always Vulkan.
I would be happy with a 240hz 4k that doesn’t have a subtle hum when it’s going that hard. It’s hard to test for because shops are too loud to hear it, but in a quiet office it gets very noticeable.
Can’t imagine it’d be worth doing considering you could just dock your deck to the tv. I know the deck is a beast at streaming to it though.

Looking back on it, Vista got a lot of hate but I don’t think my experience was that bad. It was really annoying with user account control permissions but honestly as a proto 7 it did okay. Compared to 11 I kind of miss it.
That’s a good tip, it probably can but I’ll need a bit of learning to figure it out. The Linux audio situation is a hell of a learning curve sometimes.
Would love to use it, it has the incorrect channel map for my surround sound system which apparently cannot be changed like it can in pulse? After that gets sorted then sure.
There are lots of bots and it sucks to vote kick them, but if I can get full matches in Australia with no issue I feel like the game is pretty okay. I do miss community servers though I’ll grant you.
That’s pretty much the main thing, through they keep trying to slip shit it like the recall function, ads in new places. They also had some real trouble with the new internal CPU management, not sure where that is these days.
Honestly I’m tired of Microsoft pulling this shit. Personally I can take a bad OS launch or needing a little more maintaince on my PC, but I don’t want to fight them anymore for control of my own hardware.
