Don’t let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use.
Earl Nightingale
Someone shared the phrase “The time will pass anyway” with me back when I was working on getting healthier. It was a constant reminder that there was no “best” day to start my journey and that anytime I was set back, I could pick things back up right away.
There’s a version of this you can 3D print. It’s on printables. Works well for slouch gaming.

This person better hurry. I’m almost out of Total cereal and I need to know if I should restock.
Yeah the fact that it’s definitely even come up as a discussion topic isn’t reassuring. Just wanted to add it to the discussion.
For completeness it’s worth mentioning that they posted a response to a lot of the more extreme allegations

This year wasn’t great for MTG. Modern Horizons 3 warped multiple formats and most of standard was just magic characters in silly hats. The thing that pushed it over the edge for me was the commander fiasco. Everything about that situation from the rules committee making unhealthy decisions, Hasbro taking control and the fan base sending death threats crushed my will to keep going after playing for the last 15 years. Haven’t bought a card since.
Bloomburrow was pretty cool though. Wish we had blocks again so we could have spent more time there. Foundations seems interesting but I can’t bring myself to give Hasbro any more of my money.
If you can swing the added cost, I would 100% get it. I don’t do much multi color, but it’s worth it alone to just be able to have 4 spools loaded up and be able to switch between them in the slicer software. I always keep matte black loaded because it’s what I use most often, and then swap the other three slots as needed. The way I see it, even if you’re ok with having to change the spool everytine you print, you may as well have the AMS and have to switch slightly less often.
Lastly, on more than one occasion the automatic failover to another spool has saved me a lot of effort. If you suspect you’re running low on a spool, you can just load up the same color on a different slot and the print run will automatically switch over to the new spool mid-print if you run out. I was blown away by the convenience of that the first time it happened. Keeps the print moving instead of stopping and waiting for you to make the switch manually.
I recently got into this and picked up the A1 with AMS. It’s been a lot of fun to play with and other than the routine maintenance like cleaning the bed and lubing the rails, it’s been zero trouble.
Where’s Margot Robbie these days?
I went ahead and ordered the hall effect version of the Pro 2. Excited to try it out!
I use it in a dock most of the time.
This is the dock I have. I’ve never had the issue you mentioned, but I also don’t take it on the go a lot.
While you’re all here what controller do you use for your deck? Been thinking of getting one of the hall effect 8bitdo ones, but I’m open to trying anything.
I know you’re joking, but if you actually have a bunch, you might want to take a look to see what version you have. There’s a very specific version that gets used in the speed running community so it might be of value to someone.
Wanted to start a blog about my weight loss journey. Lost the weight and never started the blog. Still paying for the domain 7 years later.
Only thing left to do is gain the weight back so I can try again!
In case anyone stumbles across this post in the future, I got the A1 with the AMS. It’s amazing and I’ve been really happy with everything I’ve printed so far. Been using Bambu Lab matte filament and Polyterra as well. Both work great.
A stronger spring isnt always the answer for your foam blasters to hit harder. Sometimes you can get away with adding a spacer or, depending on the blaster, increasing the length of your barrel. If you go the spacer route, don’t leave it in permanently or you could warp your spring.
