Stimulant drugs including cocaine, MDMA and multiple types of amphetamines contributed to roughly half of all accidental overdose deaths in Canada from 2020 to 2021, according to a new report by Statistics Canada that also tracked a sharp rise in overdoses.

You know that’s never going to happen (on a societal level, I don’t use), right?

When you start acting like the morality police then the label fits.

Are you going to go around next and beat the shit out of woman who don’t dress like you want?

Because that happens in other countries.

Point out where I said I want to police what they do. Come on. I’ll wait.

I just said it’s their own responsibility, which it is.

It doesn’t really matter. There will always be people who want to use drugs. If people quit acting like prohibition or abstinence work then drugs would be less of a problem.

It does. You generally don’t overdose on something you don’t take.

Drugs are a problem even in places where they are legalized or decriminalized. Not this big of a problem, but still a problem.

            Society’s responsibility

If you make everyone have a good life then there’s no need for drugs

              Society’s responsibility

So is making sure bad drivers are not on the road, but you still put on your seatbelt.

If you make everyone have a good life then there’s no need for drugs

Some people will make stupid choices regardless how good a life they have.

Lmfao that’s so naive dude. I know people who led perfectly healthy and happy lives but used recreational and party drugs because it was fun. That’s it, just cuz it was fun. You can’t put the consequences of people’s thrill seeking on society.
