I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for a good app that allows you to practice custom-created sheet music (e.g. via MuseScore). The problem is all the apps I found so far support custom sheet music but they don’t listen to a midi input to verify how accurate my playing was (e.g. what Playground Session does for their library).

You should be able to export MuseScore to .mid, and then you can import your midi into Synthesia, which supports either or both MIDI Input and Output.

You can then opt to view the score on the screen as well as the “falling notes”.

I use it with my Yamaha DGX series piano, and synthesia controls my piano’s output, while my piano controls what keys are ‘pushed’ in Synthesia.

It’s awesome. So glad I purchased a lifetime license for it about 10 years ago or more.
