Mine probably isn’t that secret these days, but almost every sauce I add nutritional yeast to. Curry, chilli, bolognese, it just makes them all better.

It’s not quite the same but the basic idea is similar. The Indian version also adds lentils, cumin and coriander seeds, maybe other stuff too (like curry leaves) depending on the recipe/brand.
