I also ran Pop for a couple of years before moving to Bazzite. Bazzite has KDE, Wayland, and can run .deb software through distrobox. It’s the best.

Glad to hear! :)
Sorry, should have worded that differently. I was referring to the layoffs.

Yeah, Nvidia is pretty bad on Linux in general in my experience. Especially with Wayland. AMD and Wayland run very well, however.
I run the non-deck variant with the traditional DE (KDE 6, in this case). I admit that I haven’t tried the deck variants but it should work similar with the difference being the default environment to boot into, irrc.
I use Bazzite exclusively on desktop. It’s pretty much unmatched, and it “just works” out of the box especially on AMD.
I’d be curious to know what benefit it has over just using RSS.
Maybe you could use the “Single page” firefox extension to save? You could also always print to pdf, this is built into firefox including mobile.
Videos suck for topics like this. I’m not about to watch a video that should just be an article.
It’s not carpets that I take my shoes off for - it’s so I don’t track public bathroom and outside street debris into my house.
Bazzite is where it’s at for gaming. Even more stable than PopOS and runs games very well out of the box.
I would never buy anything made by Meta, even if it was the best around.
I use FairEmail these days. It might have tag support, if it does though it’s not enabled by default. It has no AI features.
My partner’s computer was running bazzite on a 2080 super and it gave her nothing but problems, especially with Wayland. Switching to AMD immediately fixed the Wayland issues, and also completely stabilized her system. It could be that it was a problematic GPU, I suppose. I admit that I haven’t personally used an Nvidia GPU since ~2020, however I did see the issues she had for sure.
I think the only time I’ve experienced this is when I had my phone off for weeks and still used Gmail. It spammed me on boot with tons of old email notifications.
Whatever you do, do not get an Nvidia GPU. I’ve only ever had problems with Nvidia drivers on Linux. Meanwhile, the AMD drivers (both the ones baked into the kernel and proprietary) work nearly flawlessly.
Intel’s most recent generation of CPUs were also frying themselves and Intel (at least last I checked) were not accepting RMAs from affected customers. Something to consider for your CPU at least.
Those budgets get changed constantly, and if you think Trump and the GOP won’t change them you’re a bigger idiot than I initially realized.
I’m very aware it’s bipartisan, do you think that there are no progressives in congress? Also, that kind of defeats your own logic - since congress is bipartisan and will continue to vote for more weapons to Israel, Trump will not stop a single shipment and will actively lobby congress members to create more bills for more weapons. That is exactly the point people are trying to get inside your head: that Trump will only accelerate the shipments. You’re so close to realizing the truth, but I doubt you’ll do it.
I’m not going to continue to explain to you how US politics work and how single issue voting supports Trump. That’s on you, it’s not libel if you just can’t understand politics. Keep supporting him by proxy though, I’m sure that will end well for Palestine.
She is status quo, and therefore better than Trump who is worse than status quo in every subject. She’s not better for Palestine in general, but she is better than Trump for Palestine.
Anyway, I’m done explaining the basics to you. You know who I’m voting for, and I know you’ll throw your vote away to empower Trump, so at least we’re on the same page there.
They have an Nvidia version; although it should be mentioned that Nvidia doesn’t always play nice with Wayland. If you use X11 with Nvidia instead, it’s a much better experience and you still get most of the benefits of using Bazzite.
Personally, I switched to AMD due to the better Linux support. Wayland on AMD is fantastic.
