Onya, Wade, bring more people to Linux.
You wouldn’t dare
I do Active All by default, see what’s popping. After i exhaust that I go by all Hot. I have a lot of communities filtered (mainly porn ones) to clean up my feed even though I also am subscribed to several communities. Lemmy is still small enough where I don’t feel I need to only see my subs.
Only if you’re a fan of his lobster
I knew someone who had the MO-RA3 through those ports and had it on the other side of the room. He sold it to another person in the discord server we were in and he actually installed it in his basement directly below the computer on the floor above. Wild
Yeah I took a couple shots last night with my S21 Ultra and it just made the sky look like the old default wallpaper from like Mac OS X
Dankpods has entered the chat
I used to have this exact issue with what was essentially porn on Instagram reels (Meta is evil yeah I know but it’s better than shorts and tiktok). I’d report those e-thots videos but it kept showing them because it considered it engagement. Eventually I got the algorithm to show me what I’m actually there for, memes, funny cat videos and the occasional car videos.
Just scrolling past them quickly eventually got it to stop.
I’d rather burn my money than tip my landlord
Instructions unclear, candle stuck in ass
I just did that a few minutes ago and now it smells like something died in my room pls help
My raid is software as well, through TrueNAS Scale.
Yes, it breaks off to 4 SATA connectors, here’s a link on Amazon for an example.
I see a lot of drives there, all presumably connected via SATA. If you’re looking to add more drives in the future I recommend a SAS card or two, specifically a Dell PERC H310 flashed in IT mode. I picked one up on eBay for $20 a while back and it gives me 8 drive connectivity. Also snag some mini SAS to SATA cables to connect the drives.
I’ve got 44TB running in my Plex server using it and have had 0 issues with the card. Even had a friend 3D print a fan housing and attached a small Noctua fan to the heatsink for some peace of mind when doing large data transfers to make sure the card doesn’t overheat.
Edit: Like so
I’ve got a 13" M1 MBP about 2 years ago and I wanted to test it’s power after I set it up. I loaded up Final Cut Pro, got to work editing a 15ish minute 1440p video with a lot of elements to it. The render time was about 3 minutes, which is on par or faster than my 5950x/3090 K|ngp|n desktop, and the fans didn’t even turn on. It’s not over hype. M2, sure I can agree since it was marginal uplift over M1. I’m not even an Apple fanboy, but that M1 chip is damn good for an off the shelf workstation.
I’ve run into a similar issue, I built a media PC for my living room which includes a 4K compatible Blu-ray drive. After spending an hour trying to flash it’s BIOS in Linux, realizing Windows would take 2 minutes to do the same task, then finally testing a disk, I find that DRM ruins that. All my 4K disks will not play because it’s a crapshoot if they do play. It will rip them no problem, but not play.
I could fix this by using Windows, however I don’t want windows on this system, it works quickly and with no annoyances in Linux.
So now I have to resort back to the PS5 as my player until I figure something out.
Thank you for circling the largest photo, my eyes didn’t know where to go #bless 🙏
My first day on Lemmy I saw them multiple times and thought it was a coincidence
It’s been months now and I realize I’ll see that name until the end of time.
Yeah I could do that, I initially thought of that but I’m considering switching to a Pixel to run GraphineOS. Something I’m still mulling over.
