Imo, the current meaning for AI is just another way for companies to take even more of your data and embed more invasive technologies.
Edit: No thanks
I would not consider that theft. More a passing of the torch.
Finally winning the lottery!!
Not sure if it will work for you, but I installed Firefox and made that the default. Then changed it back to Samsung as the default so now I get the pop up for which one to open with.
I do. Companies do seem to be adding them everywhere. Eventually everything will showcase ads because not enough consumers were against it. Apps that are part of the OS, imo, should not have any ads, regardless of price point for the device.
While the new UI offers mostly a bloatware-free experience, it’s the ads that are annoying. For starters, the pre-installed Weather App, although can be deleted, is LOADED with ads. The ad loading also causes the app to feel super jittery and slow. So, I’d get rid of that first. Secondly, it’s the Moto Hub, which is actually a hub of ugly ads and shady app recommendations.
There’s a Moto Hub home screen widget as well, which comes preloaded and shows ads. Moto Hub also spams you with not-so-appealing notifications. So, that’s the second thing you’d want to force stop since you can’t uninstall.
I am so tired of companies being allowed to shove ads everywhere!
And depending on your car make, model, and year, there is constant surveillance/data collecting negating the owners “freedom”.
Easy, just click the whatchamacallit, and add that little do-hicky!
I think it would be awsome to have Trekkies and Whovians do some crossovers.
Would it not make more sense to remove metadata and not even collect it? Maybe have an encrypted protocol for push notifications all developers use regardless of the app?
Would it be possible for Apple to just encrypt this data or, not keep this data? Then there would be nothing to give law enforcement or government. (Forgive my ignorance, I have no idea how all this works.)
Yeah, no. I’ll take my Galaxy Fold 5 over an iPhone any day of the week, thanks.
The Spen is a great feature, imo. Iphone has nothing to compare on that front.
Dont worry, you can trust me

Thank you!! This made me laugh. TIL
I pay for premium. Unfortunately, I get full screen pop ups Spotify refers to as “sponsered suggestions”. Ranging from a survey, podcasts, audiobooks, family plans, new artists they want me to like, etc.
To me, they are irritating and as a monthly subscriber, I should not have them. I am happy they do not plauge you. I consider you very lucky.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will look into Tidal.
I still have issues with it even though autoplay is disasbled. It does not want to shuffle my songs, just add others to shuffle in. I prefer the seperate shuffle and enhance buttons.
From a non techy perspective, having what is used and installed being secure is a big one. I am new to Linux Mint. Mostly user friendly until something gets corrupted or suddenly can not be verified.
Looking for why is not always simple, and there are some explanations/instructions easier to understand than others.
I preface most of my searches with Linux mint (whatever I am searching for) for dummies. This helps some.
