i played a match and i don’t get it, that game is just boring.
how do people actually play this?
i have colleagues who gush over how they want everyone else to play it.
it’s just so… stale
just looking around for now

there’s still two left over in our household. while one is really heavy but manageable, the other one hasn’t been moved in years. probably for the best.
i’ve since made a more professional e-mail, but everything remotely to do with personal stuff uses the adress i made when i was 10.
My FP4 was affected by the “ghost touch” hardware bug, i ended up getting a replacement screen after contacting support. (it never fully went away, it has a few spasms every once in a while)
also the crashing while connected to 5G put me in a few pickles. sometimes when receiving a call while watching youtube the call’s notification bubble will take up to 5 seconds to appear at all.
it seems to also ocasionally forget that it has a SIM card installed, though that sim has been in use for 10+ years, so i can’t say if that’s the Fairphones’s fault.
i feel you, the fairphone 4 works well enough for me though. a lot of software/hardware bugs are yet to be ironed out fully, but fairphones are steadily getting better.
although the 6th gen needs to improve a lot, the 5’s launch was disappointing to say the least.
unrelated, but my dad’s iphone SE (1st gen) used to almost burn the house to the ground when playing hill climb racing.
that game fucks you up in many ways.
that’s what being close-source does. jellyfin works great, use it every day.
i carry an emergemcy audio adpater ony keychain now, thanks fairphone.
also, two of the 4 audio adapters i have are starting to break down, forcing me to buy new ones. real sustainable you guys
and yes, the one fairphone sells is one of the broken ones.
they started manufacturing a specific model in the EU, though much more expensive.
beyerdynamic headphones are made in germany, highly recommend.
for laptops, linux is king. but many use cases still don’t work yet.
and since a desktop needs to be able to do so much more, it’s going to be a long-ass time before i can switch.
already learning to use it though, so the switch will be as smooth as possible.
sure, i would love universal seperate bike lanes on roads here in germany. the fahrradschutzstreifen seems really unsafe.
i have no problem with people wanting to save money and trying to be as ecological as possible by using public transport and riding their bike.
but it feels like i’m being attacked for driving a small, comfortable, fuel efficient car. i understand why people living in city centres got used to cars not being around, but you don’t solve climate crises by screaming “ban cars!” from every rooftop. that’s not gonna make people want to engage, because so many people like driving cars.
i would like to say Akio Toyoda does things very differently, and i love him for it.
this is the guy that made the GR yaris, the GR Supra and the 86 line possible. not all of them great cars, but a good start after 20 years of FWD corollas.
the headphone jack is unforgivable for many users. as an audiophile i often use external DACs anyways, but it still sucks ass to carry around an “emergency audio adapter” which stops working after like a year (even the expensive ones) compared to a built-in one.
fuck you fairphone, but the upsides of the 4 outweighed the downsides for me.
self driving cars would basically be more comfortable and also more expensive public transport.
i for one like to control when i go where at what speed, at which interior temperature, at a great increase in comfort, with a good deal more privacy and in a vehicle i own.
a coexistence of public and private transport to fit everyone’s needs and demands would be ideal, but another culture war seems likelier.
meanwhile actual human drivers continue to get worse at driving, partially caused by the many driving “assistants” which won’t stop making seemingly random noises. while also enabling the driver to look at their phone while completely ignoring traffic “because they have lane keeping and distance control”
cars around me have my full attention, because my car doesn’t interfere wuth my ability to drive. (2002 yaris btw)
rant over, sorry. i just really hate modern cars.
how are they supposed to keep up with microsoft with an open messaging standard? can’t miss out on being the most valuable company with a market cap at more than 3 trillion dollars…
my opinion might be biased as someone who deliberately avoids samsung products because of horrible software and bad quality control (on some devices).
yes, that’s a samsung thing.
i’m using a 3070 currently, my next GPU will 100% be AMD.
