Yesss Crosscode is incredible. The soundtrack, visuals, puzzles - just a great package overall and it has stuck with me fondly. Can’t wait for the dev’s next game.

Ahh right thanks for confirming. When I last moved to beta, none of the buttons would work and I could only use the touchscreen. I thought that was quite odd considering beta seemed to work fine for others. Any idea what could’ve caused that?
Is there a way to do a clean installation of the OS without wiping all your downloads? I’d be tempted to do this as I think compound updates over the last two years have caused a few issues (I’ve got the original steam deck)
Ahh thanks - It’s included within an existing Playstation subscription I have, so I can play it without any extra charge. If it’s short and fun like you say, I’ll definitely give it a go!
Is RE3 remake worth playing? I loved the remake of the second one.
Ah yes I knew about it, but I’m sure this will be useful to others! Unfortunately I was having trouble with the beta the other week - it caused my button inputs to not be recognised. Tried several things to fix before giving up and returning to stable - which worked flawlessly again. I don’t mind waiting until this feature reaches stable.
Looking forward to this coming to stable
Admittedly I don’t use the D-pad all that much - does it not register inputs well? I guess it’s pretty important if you’re playing a fighting or retro game that require precise inputs. For the games I’ve played, it hasn’t been an issue.
No the pro controller doesn’t have hall effect sticks, but I’ve not experienced any drift. I did take it apart once to clean the insides however.
I had no end of problems with the joy cons, and have replaced those sticks with hall effect ones. Since doing that I’ve not had any problems, touch wood!
To be fair I’ve had the pro controller for several years and it has held up really well. Really ergonomic and the vibration’s good, plus it has gyro. Perfect for my needs on Switch. I think it was worth what I paid.
The 8Bitdo Pro+ has been great - works really well with my Steam Deck and Switch. Sounds like the Pro 2 is the superior version with hall effect sticks.
The Switch Pro controller has always been good too. And the DualSense is really neat with the haptics and adaptive triggers - expensive, but not that much more than a Pro controller surprisingly.
I love coffee but nowadays I tend to drink tea a lot more. I don’t like the taste of instant coffee, and that’s all I can get at work - so I stick to tea. I also can’t handle caffeine as well as I used to, so I have decaff.
At home I’ve got a nice coffee machine. I buy decaff beans and grind them - it’s all about the taste for me.
Updating the controller firmware fixed things for me! Give that a try
I ended up using a windows PC to do it - and the latest firmware appears to have fixed all my issues :)
Updating the controller firmware has vastly improved it! I recommend trying that out if you haven’t already.
Perhaps, but then why can the Pro controller connect without issue? 🤔
I’ll try updating the firmware and see if that makes any difference!
Not a bad shout! Do you know if that’s possible via the Steam Deck?
Interesting… I’ll try waiting a few minutes to see if it connects. Annoying though! It never used to do this.
I’ve just finished playing RealMyst (god that had some tricky and sometimes convoluted puzzles), and installed Bloodstained last night. So will hopefully start that later - I’ve heard good things!
I’m not sure if it has Autumn/Fall vibes, but I’m tempted to get Slime Rancher 2. I guess it’s appropriate for harvest season, as you’re farming and harvesting slimes? Something about it (at least I got this impression from the first game) feels cosy and perfect to play while the days get colder.
