2nd Mxroute. I got the black Friday deal a few years ago. I love using the catchall to make emails on the fly for when I sign up for different services.
JMP is great! I ported over my number that I’ve had the longest to them probably 2 years ago when it was still beta. It’s so convenient having sms on multiple devices and my computer. I have all calls from jmp forwarded to my phone with service tho. And I just switched that from AT&T prepaid to US mobile.
Edit: I also like popping in to read their group chat. Lots of nerd talk in there. Also, I’m pretty sure if you ask their support you can still get a free XMPP server with JMP service via Snikket.
I happened to have a spare number that I wasn’t using with JMP.chat. So I ported it over to US Mobile.
They offered a 30 day trial if you port a number over. They probably still offer the trial. I still have a week left and I liked the service so much I already ported my real number over. The trial was completely free.
I ended up having to order their sim starter kit because for some reason my Pixel 4a 5g wasn’t compatible with their eSim on their Warp 5g(Verizon), which I wanted to try. When I portrs my real number over I did it on their GSM(tmobo) network with eSim and it worked fine. You can get the sim starter kit for free with some promo code they have listed on their site somewhere.
Just switched to US Mobile after doing the 30 day trial.
Bill from AT&T prepaid was $65 before tax.
Now I’m $29 total. On their GSM(T-Mobile) network I was pulling 250 down.
You can put brother printers on continuous mode and they will keep printing. When the quality starts to look bad, take the toner out and shake it. Put it back in. Volia.
There is a fork now
Is it really even secure? Are we to trust these companies at their word? E2E “encryption” that goes thru their servers, not open source, SoCs that’s the real Admin of your device that has direct access to everything including “private” keys.
It has nothing to do with me making anything “secure”, because modern consumer tech is incapable of that. but i have my own domain, currently using MXRoute as the provider(because its cheap). Have my own XMP server(Snikket) to chat with friends even tho I can’t fully trust it because of how all devices are compromised. Think Intel Management Engine, AMT, Pluton and whatever the heck is going on with the blackbox chip in every smartphone. There is no true privacy with tech.
Good. Podcast index 2.0.
Thunderbird is great. MXRoute usually does a black Friday sale and its only $10 a year when I signed up 2 years ago.
For android mail client, I use FairEmail off Fdroid. I love it so much. It blocks tracking images and has a ton of other awesome features. I have it set up to get my 2 gmail accounts also and they are color coded to red so I can decide if its important and if so I go and change it to my non-google email or unsub. Going google free
MXRoute and a domain name you own. Then you can switch provider anytime and actually own your @ email address.
Google funds then I’m pretty sure…
Its September in Finland right now?! Lmao jk
Now splinter free!
The real question to me is does it come with Microsoft Pluton or not?
