my SO didn’t finish high school. Became an executive assistant but felt really unfulfilled, she really hated doing lunch orders especially.
Went back to college as an adult and got a degree and now her favorite part of her much better job is when they cater lunch and she gets to be on the other side getting spoiled.
I couldn’t be prouder.
oh thank you for the correction I misread that bit it would seem
NASA’s idea was an inflatable dipole, i linked the article about it up higher
as masterspace noted NASA has actually given it some thought.
“This new research is coming about due to the application of full plasma physics codes and laboratory experiments. In the future it is quite possible that an inflatable structure(s) can generate a magnetic dipole field at a level of perhaps 1 or 2 Tesla (or 10,000 to 20,000 Gauss) as an active shield against the solar wind.”

It also doesn’t completely protect the entire planet just two critical points on the surface.
me proudly showing off to my dad that I had spent hours teaching the Timex Sinclair to… balance a checkbook!
dad: my checkbook is already balanced.
me: ahhh, yes well, just imagine though if things had lined up huh??

the suspension is barely loaded, I’m guessing AI or Art Vehicle and that’s all a shell. I owned a work truck with an 8 foot bed and when it was loaded the tire would be way up in the wheel well more. Could be some super suspension but my money is it’s not really what we are seeing. The suspension being perfectly level with the ground makes me think AI as the vehicle is designed to be level with the rear loaded. With that front loaded down too the nose should be pitched down a bit.
what was your favorite mode? I liked bouncy homers and the 3v1 planes!
shrimp fries sounds so good!
into the breach on ios requires an active netflix account to launch the game, i just tried it
the OP asked a question about butchers. I have had the fortune to live in most of the united states over the past 40 years and have never experienced what the OP has.
I frankly find your comment condescending and for no reason. It is rude. Does your experience differ in some way? My comment was on topic to OP’s query.
as an american my butcher has never in any state or county put breadcrumbs on my meat

Four Roses or Maker’s Mark old fashioned. Basil Hayden or Old Overholt Rye if they don’t do cocktails.
Slackware took like 40 3.5" double sided double density disks, and woe betide the poor soul who didn’t label them because the stack was a foot high and you damn well would get them mixed up.
When doing it from home I would frequently run into issues that required me to completely reinstall dos and Telemate to go back to usenet and get help, print the help and then take another stab.
Dos and Linux had different opinions about SCSI chain termination so this usually involved full cover off to move jumpers on the hard drives and sometimes irq jumpers on the motherboard to get the modem AND sound card working right.
Then the fact that to get online once you had slackware installed required you to write your own SLIP/PPP dialup scripts because every ISP was doing their own thing.
Honestly it was a fucking wonderful time. Many happy memories.
lately i have been mixing avocado, salsa and pure fermented habanero sauce and slapping that on lettuce and arugula it’s so good
most places (in the states) have zoning laws and specific laws about requirements that make a house livable. The combination usually precludes legally living in an office space even if the lease doesn’t specify.
It’s one of those things where if you just keep your head down you can get away with it but if you have parties and treat it like an actual residence and get complaints you’re likely to lose your lease.
