They don’t give a shit about your stolen items, and 9/10 times it’s a complete waste to even contact them over “petty theft”, regardless of how valuable the item/s are to you.

When I was in college, my apartment got broken into. The cop that came when I called was less than helpful. Some highlights:

• He immediately argued with me that the crowbar marks on the door frame must have been there before.
• I told him about the TV that was stolen and he bragged that he had two TVs that were larger than that.
• He tried to bust me for weed when he saw my hookah. I had to explain to him that it was in fact not a bong and was only used for tobacco.
• He mentioned that if it were him robbing me, he would have stolen the microwave instead.
• As he was leaving, he told me that they wouldn’t be able to catch whoever did it, so they weren’t going to look.

The comments were surprisingly constructive considering she basically pasted zsphere sketches over a generic background and announced she had been solo developing the most ambitious dragon fucking game the world has ever seen. It’s been 12 years, I wonder how she’s doing?

Personally I don’t care about the rewards. If I’m playing a tough game or a higher difficulty it’s more about the sense of accomplishment that comes from finally overcoming the challenge. That being said, some people don’t get their dopamine from that sort of thing so I totally think more difficulty options is always a good thing.

I would highly recommend donating to a specific organization rather than as a “uniform anatomical gift”. iFixit has been pushing phone repairability and right to repair for years. Sure, that makes it easier for them make repairs, but it also helps users repair their own devices. For example, in the article they mention their stance that phones should have removable batteries so that instead of having to take a phone in to get the battery repaired or replaced, you can just swap it yourself. Personally, I want to use my device as long as possible before I’m forced to buy a new one, so I’m happy to have more ways to fix issues myself.

Telling someone whose gender doesn’t conform to the male/female binary view of gender that the term non-binary is a “shit pseudophilosophical concept” that “has no connection to reality” fucking sucks. Either you don’t recognize gender outside of the binary, or you just think these people don’t deserve a way to express and talk about their gender. Either way it’s a garbage take.

I really hope veganism becomes more widely adopted, or at the very least less derided than it is today. Animal agriculture is one of if not the biggest contributor to so many global issues.
