Shaming people for their job is such a shitty thing to do. I heard the same thing in college for having a job lined up with a major defense contractor. My circumstances were such that living with parents or someone else wasn’t an option - it was very important for me to have a job. I am grateful for that opportunity - the people I worked with were all great people. You can be an ideological fool but not everyone has that luxury.

Clicking around, it seems like everything is on the boycott list. The reasons are also so bad. For example, Mars Inc is banned for working together with Israeli academic institutions to further foodtech innovations. Different people have different ways of trying to appear non-threatening. If I am ever behind a woman, I just start running behind them in a friendly chase fashion just to break the ice and make them realize that I am just a goofy harmless guy. Usually, they play along and run as well.
