I’m just poking fun of the reputation it has. I hear crazy rumors about East Cleveland from “mayor stole all the funds” and it’s normal to find human remains in your yard. Mind you, I also live in the urban Midwest, it’s just East Cleveland seems next level bad.
I have noticied South Euclid is getting nicer. NE Ohio has potential, it’s just so resource starved.
Picture reminds me of East Cleveland (not to be confused with the east side of Cleveland; “East Cleveland” is it’s own city. The roads are this bad but I’m sure anyone who could fix the roads are too scared to go there…
Also looks like Detroit after some rain. The right lanes literally flood.

Saw my first cybertruck in person while on the highway today. It was pretty funny looking. Also, I doubt many vehicles were created to ride lava; let alone uneven terrain to this degree.
There is a pro side to everything. The 695 will have longer support in the aftermarket/ROM community since it essentially got a rebranding into a “new” product. That $300 Oneplus N30 is looking good right now.

That is pretty annoying. I’m thinking of buying a new GPU myself. My Internet also runs off PCIE so I could go through the same thing as well? I wish I had another GPU to try this out.
I did look it up, it seems to come from the way BIOS names resources. Im surprised software such as Network Manager does not pick up on stuff like this.
I admit I don’t play video games anymore. Especially not in the last year (I did have my eyes on Baldur’s Gate). Perhaps I’ll start Palworld in a few weeks. I got a lot of games off Humble Bundle (I subscribed to Humble Choice for a year and honestly even with the discounts it wasnt worth it) and Fanatical.
The only game I couldn’t get working was the Batman Arkham Trilogy. Everything else I was able to manually force on Proton and play it. Monster Hunter World, Temtem, and GTAV were probably the games I played the most.
Mods suck for the most part on Linux. Though, I never try to mod new games.
I believe I said it in a different post but 2023 was the year of the Linux desktop. Hardware like Bluetooth and webcams just work. Applications and games have gotten so much easier install thanks to Flatpak and Steam.
Now Plasma 6 is upon us. HDR could be supported this year. At this point avoid Linux only if it’s missing a specific app you need.
Personally, I am okay with Valve not always being the company they are now. A government did its job and the company it affected became consumer friendly [and still dominated the market by believing in a market no other major publisher wanted to touch at the time]. This is what governments are created for: helping the citizens while letting these companies innovate.
They really need a way to gain money independently from Google. Reselling an interesting looking service is better than only Google.
I have an issue with calling Edge “a bloated privacy invading Chrome clone”. It’s a “a bloated privacy invading Chrome repackage”, thank you.
Their cheap. HP lowest end printers were always cheaper then the ink. Customers buy the wireless ink with a subscription and think it’s a convenience. It’s a scam but it’s a scam that works.
Basically now that everyone is poor this is how tech companies will address customer needs: low barrier for every and a subscription.
You are 100% correct of course. I do want to add that depending on the works/software of others is also a risk as well. It’s the tradeoff made when the developer decided not to build an engine from scratch. If the game engine company becomes shaky, the developers have to weigh that in when looking at the cost of switching or not. Or maybe everything will be fine.

You’re right. It also got people and ai flagging illegal content. That takes much more money then even hosting videos does. Though if the .world owners want to make a peertube insurance, I’m all for subscripting.
Once again, I want to agree that it’s a massive undertaking that’s more than software and bandwidth.
I also want to add that if public transit was more more common; it would EVENTUALLY spread to the rural areas just in a more limited fashion. Also, towns do build up as they age, it’s not like they are static.

Mine used to work somewhat. Then I got fed up with the errors when unlocking and deleted my finger prints. Now, I get bit with that known bug on Pixel 6 that won’t let you register fingerprints (I tried again when I replaced the screen protector - even with no protector). I gave up on that fingerprint reader and 5G on this phone. It still works overall so I refuse to replace it for another year or two.
