Pemdas isn’t as arbitrary as people in this thread think it is.

I love maths, and I’m going to butcher any attempt to explain why pemdas isnt totally random. But you can look it up if you wanna know more I guess

Besides no one ever uses that notation - by the time you learn about quadratics, you leave multiplication symbols out of the equation entirely and much of the notation changes shape, with division exclusively being expressed as negative powers or fractions.

At that point you aren’t going to make mistakes, since each hyperlevel uses a different style of notation. Pemdas is used to teach 4 year olds, and it’s fucking dumb. What happens with a log, or sine function. Don’t even get me started on integrals and derivatives.

Pemdas is shit, but not because it’s abirtary. In fact it’s shit because it’s a shithole acyromn

  • Glad to see an EDM fan on here

But I’m going to do a shitty job recommending music, since you listed the artists who do like dnb electro… Which is an area that I’m almost totally clueless. But to take a shot in the dark, UNMD. It’s frenchcore techno so it’s a bit different. Maybe look at psy techno since it has the same kind of beat whilst keeping some the melodic parts of electro.

Sorry that was awful. But alot of the artists I listen to have really fat melodies which is like the exact opposite of what your looking for. Although I do like some of the artists you listed, so I’m gonna mix those into my playlists. So thanks I guess

Edit: I looked through your post history, defo look into psy techno.

Metric is based in such a way that the idea is ease of unit conversion.

In base 4 multiplying by 4 would change the unit to kilo or whatever. That would be metric but base 4.

We use base 10, you can argue about the validity of using base 10 but it bears no effect on the metric system. And yes arguements about bases exist.

Base 12 Base 6 Base 60 are all common suggestions. But base 10 is what we are probably are going to be stuck with for a very long time.
