Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure I learned at school that you can use “that” for everything, “who” for people and “which” for things

Yup, my android tablet is the only device I own (unless you count my smart tv) where I don’t use Firefox. At least there’s kiwi so you can have a tablet interface and still be able to install addons
Huh? I only know copyleft, what are those?
Looking at RPCS3, it seems like most PS3 games wouldn’t run well on PS5 without dedicated, PS3-like hardware.
I have never ever managed to scratch a disc to the point where it became unusable. Neither have I ever had problems when buying used discs. I agree about the speed though; at this point my internet speed surpasses the speed with which games are installed from a disc
Oh yeah their efforts are definitely a huge net benefit for the Linux community, I just don’t like seeing big companies portrayed in a better light than they deserve. When it comes down to it, what valve really cares about is still their bottom line.
Playing at 4k+ resolutions, the difference between a well implemented quality DLSS and native ranges from barely distinguishable to objectively better because DLSS is also great anti aliasing. And even if you really need native resolution, DLAA is almost always better than any other anti aliasing method. Before DLSS 2 came out you might have had a point, but now I simply disagree with your statement.
Proton is based on wine, which is copyleft so valve didn’t exactly have a choice in keeping it open source. I also don’t necessarily think that their goal was to reach the rather small existing user base of Linux users, but rather they wanted to make sure they aren’t at the will of a bigger company (Microsoft) whose product is/was required to run most of what valve makes money with.
You know people can harass women or be dicks to their coworkers/subordinates and not be transphobic, right? Also, as of 2022, about 65 people work at Linus tech tips. Saying “Everyone was cool with it and endorsed it” is a bit of a broad statement to make.
I last used a chromium based browser more than 5 years ago. Recently I bought myself a tablet and had to make the difficult decision to switch to the kiwi browser there just because Mozilla can’t be bothered to include tabs for their tablet layout.
Huh. For me, the inbox is broken
although a bit clunky, writing “the {{objectType}} object” would get around this particular issue.
As in, you are notified of replies?
I wasn’t the one writing the comment.
Infinity is not too bad right now, I am replying from it right now. My only real issue with it is that I can’t see whether people have responded to my posts/comments.
I prefer Liftoff, mainly because I am plagued by a well-known bug in jerboa that makes writing comments a big pain. However, since infinity got semi usable (it still has a bunch of references to reddit in its ui and the messages/replies page is broken) I have only used liftoff to check for replies. I am just used to infinity from years of reddit usage lol
They were talking about the reviews featured in the article. Did you read it?
I think you are underestimating your TV, as long as it detects that the content is 24 fps it should have no trouble playing it back judder free.
Other than that, I thought about it some more, and I think I’m fine with a bit of judder. On a big TV I find it really annoying but on a smaller screen I can probably see past it. Sound-wise I will mainly use my bluetooth iems so I don’t really need good speakers. So now I am trying to get a tab s5e at a decent price, but weirdly most listings start at 200 Euros, which I don’t think I’m willing to spend on an more than 4 year old device. Oh well, we will see how it goes.
Thank you very much for your help!
Judging by the statement and username, Germany. And I agree
