I started that like 10 years ago, unfortunately I have a funky shaped head so it doesn’t look as good as it may on others but I do enjoy the maintenance on it. I can definitely tell these days it won’t grow back like it used to (much thinner on the top, edging back on the top sides). However being able to use a hair trimmer once a week myself is cheap, and less things to do while getting ready in the morning.

I can understand since society seems to put value on hair but not worrying about it (some confidence) goes a long way. I barely think about it nowadays.

How do you find which one you want with 150 open? Genuinely curious is all, I’m old and mostly use PC and can type quick enough to find what I want if I know which site (wikis for games and such). If I had to scroll through 150 tabs I’d spend half the time looking through a list so wonder how it helps to have that many open. Or maybe I just don’t read fast enough to scroll well.

First year programming in the late 90s … segmentation fault? I put printfs everywhere. Heh. You’d still get faults before the prints happened, such a pain to debug while learning. Though we weren’t really taught your point of the comment at the time.

Least that was my experience on an AIX system not sure if that was general or not, the crash before a print I mean.

I was constantly checking updates as one of the fires were within like 1-2 km, it was very stressful and I wasn’t ever in an evacuation zone. Software devs and designers usually fall under IT is my understanding but I can see why many people/places would make the distinction. Especially for companies that only write software, their IT would more be the infrastructure, but if they’re only writing software for in house use that’s more on the IT side. I could be completely wrong about this too, just how I saw them grouped.

Yeah I’ve had it in my library for awhile, played a handful of hours and ended up being off today so thought why not? Can’t get to online mode, I always figured I’d do online mode when it was released. A shame but it happens. Yeah I was watching the fire reports this year, got within two kms maybe less but with city between. It was a nerve racking time seeing the evacuation notices so close. Going to work one day could see them burning across the lake with red glows and hoping it wouldn’t get closer, it jumped the lake though. A good reminder to have a go bag ready in case you were evacuated on short notice, definitely had the car filled and provisions in case they were needed. Maybe it was an overreaction with so many buildings between but rather be prepared.

True, they should have better campaigns to showcase those repairs, also manufacture support for it. Unless they do and I missed it, which is very possible. Just seems they don’t want you to change batteries since they make it a hassle.

Yeah but that seems like a pain, of course I had a cell back to analog days and am probably is. Used to sell so many batteries for cells in my Radio Shack days, and many were people wanting a second one for a backup when they were in the bush. So I only watch YouTube on my PS4 since I watch it on my gaming TV. Are these ads the two they want to show while watching a video, usually around 6 mins between ads, though that seems to change depending how popular the uploader is, maybe settings from the uploaders too, I dunno the specifics but have been curious. Many times can skip in the second one after 5 seconds, first one is usually 15, but they seem to play around with it, sometimes skip the first ad after 5 or sometimes have to watch 2 x 15 second ones, or is there another ad rotation on PC I’m not aware of? I’m just curious since I rarely do a PC one but they are annoying. Annoying to the point I mute and consciously don’t watch anything on the screen except for the ad skip being available. Usually hit it but sometimes stuffing the vaporizer I miss the first one then have to wait for the second to become available.

Personally it’s not horrible but it’d be nice if I knew ahead of time which format they wanted. I’m also older,I assume if something was done like this in the 90s we’d be seeing full ad breaks like that time in broadcasting so I’ve been beaten down by ad acceptance as much as I try and ignore them. Trying to say even if it bothers me I sort of got used to ads all the time anyways.

Your bullet points sound like an RTS (real time strategy) game’s description of a unit. I would prefer neither around me, let them wage war (or set up home) elsewhere preferably.

I checked earlier this year on BC’s site and they were only recommending at risk people to get their 4th shot, curious if that changed or they were trying to ration current stock. Felt off cause everything else I read recommended 6 months but there wasn’t an open sign up from what I saw like the earlier shots.

I find sex scenes awkward to enjoy, I kinda like the fade to black where it’s implied but not delved into. That said so many novels that are aimed at a similar audience with sci Fi and fantasy have always had sex scenes (Necromancer, Hyperion, Expanse all have sex in them) When we were playing text based games back in the 80s we wanted a cinematic experience. What’s the result? Games with sex in them. A new Leisure Suit Larry game is probably about due now that I think of it heh. I just click through and continue on.

Well shame on me, I won’t do it again wink. Just was reading comments on Microsoft ending WordPad and someone mentioned ‘as long as a browser is bundled’. Heh how times change.

For those that don’t know Microsoft had an anti trust suit or something like that due to IE being a part of the OS. Though to be fair it’s pretty hard to get your preferred browser without one to use, but probably not good to be too integrated with the OS rather than an optional component. Wonder how close Bing is to that these days, new computer at work is constantly showing Bing in the start menu like this is my computer not your fucking search results.

Wasn’t there an anti trust or monopoly suite against Microsoft for bundled IE back in the day? Funny how times change, though I agree it’s not easy to get a preferred browser without one. Mean it never was overly simple but they were on so many CDs mailed out back then. Think it has to do with some IE and Windows integration too so not just cause they bundled it.
