If you want something more Android-y the Sony NW-A306 exists.
Storage and RAM not being user upgradable is an environmental nightmare for sustainability.
Not having internal slots for storage and relying on USB or NAS is not an appropriate alternative for professionals regardless of what their leadership says is what professionals want.
We’ll never know, but RAM being part of the SoC is probably contributing substantially to their performance capabilities compared to competition. The only real way to know that probably requires being an engineer at Apple. I’d wager $3.50 that they’d get a substantial performance deficit from switching to DIMMs, and that terrifies them since that would further push everyone to x86 workstations.
This is the angle that makes me reconsider folding phones. Either fold direction, and you’ve got a smaller screen that’s usable in one hand.
I am a big fan of the idea that by doing this the OC is effectively the ad-distributor in this scenario…
“eight of these occurrences”
I’ve been using various forms of adblock for many years. If a website refuses to show you the information it contains: the information it has is probably toxic garbage.
I’ve lived by “if it doesn’t load, I doesn’t need it” for over a decade and I’ve never encountered a problem I couldn’t easily solve better without the troublesome webpage.
That person is suspicious that the rogue device without adblocking is going to poison the whole network.
I won’t speak to the wisdom of that, but I’m going to imagine that’s what the issue with your suggestion is.
Your stripper name is City Where You We’re Born + Can You Drive Stick Shift + The Last 4 Of Your SSN.
Damn they got me again
2TB NVME 3.0 DRAM drive for my OS and games. + an extra 2TB NVME DRAMless 4.0 just games drive.
The partner’s PC is a 512GB SATA DRAMless SSD boot drive. + 1TB SATA DRAMless SSD games storage + 1TB HDD extra games drive for less frequently used games.
The only noticeable difference is between the HDD and any of the SSDs. I’m not entirely sure if you blind-tested me on loading games between that 512 and either of my NVME drives I’d be able to tell the difference. Although I haven’t tried any of those recent directstorage games.
All of the Steelcase chairs at my employer have survived some serious rough handling for multiple years. +1
I haven’t watched the second video, but I will say the game is solid and fun with friends. And it seems like community criticism is affecting a lot of the balancing and updates they do.
I think whatever concerns people had during EA the devs are attempting to address.
This person is evoking the idea of a game like BattleBit Remastered, by the way, if anyone reading this is living under a rock.
Fairphone being locked to /e/ to keep warranty in the US is a big detractor for a lot of the types of people that would want one.
I feel the best-of-both-worlds move nowadays is to get an iPhone SE and something like the Sony NW-A306. Just embrace a small dedicated media device, iOS for privacy but still getting to use the stupid iMessage and FaceTime features all of your asshole friends use, and an awesome DAP that you can install that one Android app you need for whatever reason.
Hey at least Xbox can play CDs.
PS5 is incompatible. [insert Techmoan video here]
I have the official Apple Lightning-Aux for my AKG K361 and Grado SR60x. It has definitely adequate audio, no complaints.
I use the Apple USB C-Aux I use for when I use any headphones with my gaming PC (usually Koss Portapros). Also definitely adequate.
My impression with either one is - except for physical durability concerns, if either adapter can power what you’re plugging into it they’re awesome. If you need more power or physical controls or weird connection formats that’s where they start to not be great.
Someone left a comment on [redacted] that spoke highly of the HiBy R2 II. I can’t speak for it but that might be up everyone’s alley here.
I’m still rocking a 6th gen iPod I just recently refurbished so I may not be the best advice here.
