Not even all adults. That diet makes me fart constantly and feel suboptimal.

Every plant is trying to kill you. It doesn’t want to be eaten. It especially doesn’t want you to eat its seeds. We can detoxify most of the ones that people eat, but it costs
Eating the same plants over again can make you sick
You may not be as good at detoxifying those plants as the people who do well eating them
I know I’m a lot healthier with no plants in my diet than I have been with lots of plants
My mail lived on an Intel atom based mini itx machine for years. I wanted to play with breakup by replication and bought a cheap shell. Now the cheap shell is my only mail server
Linux + postfix (SMTP) + dovecot (IMAP and POP3) + SPF + DKIM on the host
Point the MX record for your domain to your IP address
Contact your ISP and ask them to set the PTR record for your IP to your hostname
Mail can be handled by a very low end computer, a raspberry pi can handle email for a small number of users
If you have a specific mail machine you would forward the ports you use to that host on your router.
I self host email. Email is easy. I went a tad overboard with database configuration, a configuration/password change program, a few virtual hosts so I can renew six different names, but a single domain on a Linux box (any flavour) is easy
It makes it easy to make a bespoke email address for every entity you interact with, or show them the respect they deserve by giving your valid email spam@your.domain.tld
It is a bit of a hobby though. You need to keep up with email security if you want to send to anyone.
As much as people hate Musk, Tesla is unusual in that they allow you to opt out of all connectivity. Get no updates, send no video, audio, or data to the company
I miss CRT monitors in text mode with the field in “idle CRT screen” black and the text in cyan
Dark mode tries, but always goes for maximum contrast
But that makes sense for mushrooms. The bulk of the fungus lives in that spot underground, you’re just hoping it survives and fruits again
As
That looks like an oddly capitalised “as”
That really gives the reason it’s acceptable to use apostrophes when pluralising that sort of case
We have a clean desk policy at my workplace too, we also don’t take classified documents home
We need to provide a photo of our home work area as part of our application for work from home. It’s needed as part of the employer’s duty of care - managers are supposed to examine the photo and determine its a safe work area
Really all that happens is a photo is attached to the application and never looked at
I doubt American employers have any duty of care towards work from home employees.
I bet the unblurring was about being able to see the documents. AI blur is pretty aggressive at blurring anything that isn’t a face
Inflation would be heavy in that system
Do you think in whole stone, or fractions? It seems a rather large unit
Ovens: the YouTuber Atomic Shrimp just had his kitchen rebuilt and he noted that his new oven had the temperature control set 90° when pointed right, 180° when pointed down, 270° when pointed left - you rotated the knob the number of angular degrees you wanted in Celcius degrees. He noted that the fahrenheit version wouldn’t be able to do that
Australia is very metric. Though our 25mm water fittings will fit with pre-metric inch fittings (and likewise for all of plumbing)
We have pints in beer glasses, regionally have to specify British pints due to some places having a metric pint a fair bit smaller
I’m sure the UK kept their road speeds and distances in miles because they couldn’t see how you could calculate your mileage otherwise
Lucky kids
I’m 47, and the early games for me were clear. Five year olds don’t get to play arcade machines in 1982, but they do get to play an older relative’s game and watch
And that stuff is memorable
I doubt the post iPad (maybe the post home computer) people have much chance though. 3 year olds have games made for them, though they’re in this thread, naming popular games
Octopus on a Nintendo game and watch (though it’s hard to put things in order, I had a knockoff portable game in 1987 “submarine battle”, and I feel the Nintendo has to be earlier, or what else could the knockoff be knocking off? Yeah game and watch was 1980 onwards)
If your password looks like an md5 hash they’ll try to dehash it and if they’re successful they’ll be wrong
*Uses the hash of “password 1” as password
