We definitely have blackberries. We don’t really have blackcurrants though, may be thinking of that?

They’re significantly faster than boiling water on the stove here in the US too.
I have an electric kettle because I’m a tea drinker. Not gonna lie though, it did take a while before I realized I could just generally boil water in the thing. One day, looking directly at the kettle while I filled a pot with water, the dusty light bulb in my head finally lit up. 😅
Can you expand on this? I’m curious what you find ableist about it.
Once I’m in the air my backpack goes from under the seat to under my knees. Then I can stick my feet under the seat for that extra few inches of stretch. It’s not a whole lot but it does help.
This looks like grub2-mkconfig
was run with the output mistakenly set to /etc/default/grub
. Someone ran
grub2-mkconfig -o /etc/default/grub
Instead of
grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
Have you played the X series?
For me it was the “Amazon Day” shipping that bundles up a week’s worth of separate orders into one shipping day. Convenient sure but now I’m not getting 2-day shipping… so what am I paying for again? I’ll just bundle up the orders and shipping my damn self.
Or it’s a company so fuckoff huge that one department (Chrome on Android) couldn’t get a bug report escalated in another department (YouTube). Eventually they just put in a UA workaround while the bug rots in a backlog somewhere. Common enterprise bullshit.
Or the Chrome on Android team didn’t even bother reporting the issue to YouTube and just threw in a cheap workaround. Also common enterprise bullshit.
And I’m very much not a fan of fucking up podcasts as a simple medium delivered by RSS. I have a futile hope that that decision will burn them.
This was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. When they started locking up shows to their app, I cancelled my subscription and dropped Spotify entirely. I don’t even listen to any of the shows they bought but I do listen to a lot of podcasts through Pocket Casts and take umbrage when anybody fucks with the standards.
It’s not that wine is bad at supporting Windows applications necessarily. If you (or your company) buys software that supports some versions of Windows and you open a support ticket with some issue running in Linux under wine, that’s a ticket that will likely be closed fast as an unsupported configuration.
Good luck getting support for commercial software if you’re running it under wine.
Invidious and Freetube are still YouTube though?
Both can be true. It’s a massive effort to upgrade the infrastructure. Comcast will squeeze every drop from the existing plant, then hem and haw for a few years while service suffers, before actually committing to the massive effort.
You’ve linked to the Digital Markets Act. The Digital Services Act, also linked from the Wikipedia article provided above, is a different thing.
I’m curious what phone you’re planning to get that isn’t a giant spyware device?
Thank you for detailing this. I’m no fan of OSX or Apple the company but the quality of their laptop hardware is undeniable. They’re really good at it.
