Thats the error i get when launching. Things i tried for troubleshooting: -Updating -Using a different Proton Version -Disabeling steam Overlay -Reinstalling -Verifying file integrity

Nothing worked.

    Have you tried turning off Proton compatibility layer? Afaik CSGO runs natively on Linux

      Sometimes. Sometimes it doesn’t. I had to delete the menu background video folder because the game would crash on startup if I didn’t. It works now, though.

    I had problems after an update a while back until I used the

    -vulkan launch option. You could try that!

    Just confirming other comments. No need to use proton for CSGO, just use the native linux version, it works fine no issues

    I wouldn’t use Proton to play this game as it had more problems on my machine than native Linux version. Try using Steam Linux Runtime in Steam’s compatibility tab.
