  • I would spend all 100M to get ads put up all over the country of people who have wronged me and my loved ones. They’ll just be like really awful pictures of them with really petty captions like “doesn’t help carry suitcases”, “laughed at a disabled person”, “sneezed too loud that one time”. That’ll show them.

  • It’s hugely dependent on a lot of factors but what I can say for sure that’s helped for me personally:

    • having more locally sourced options like farmers markets and local butchers
    • not having to commute to work every day (the extra time and energy saved means I’m much more willing to cook something healthy)
    • a healthier work/life balance
    • making more money… Buying local isn’t cheap.

I know veggies, even when they’re not local, are cheaper than a lot of processed food but not when we’re talking convenience and energy spent. Having the energy to prep and cook fresh produce, as well as a local market within walking distance have been the biggest factors for me.

I know I’m a pessimist but I feel like this is another one of those issues where we take the mask off and it’s just that monster capitalism underneath.

Actually we just finished our switch from Skype to Teams and honestly, as much as I love having GIFs to express my disdain for work, at least Skype could group chats, didn’t require all the RAM in the world, and automatically saved chats which, in a records management hellscape was an absolute lifesaver. Also my headphones would automatically answer a call when I put them on my head but I have a feeling that has more to do with the settings than anything else.

Also I’m tired of having to tell people “no we can’t do that because Microsoft hasn’t integrated that very valuable and highly requested feature you’re asking for”
